Google nareszcie opublikował listę zwycięzców drugiego konkursu zorganizowanego dla deweloperów. Całe przedsięwzięcie miało na celu przede wszystkim wyszczególnić najlepsze aplikacje stworzone na Androida. Skutkiem 'ubocznym' tego była jednak cała masa świetnych aplikacji, które będą służyły nam latami.
W finale Android Developer Challenge 2 możemy zobaczyć 30 najlepszych aplikacji w dziesięciu kategoriach. Deweloperzy w nagrodę za zdobycie pierwszego miejsca w kategorii otrzymali 100.000$, za drugie 50.000$ i 25.000$ za trzecie miejsce. To jednak jeszcze nie koniec nagród. Spośród całej trzydziestki wybrano jeszcze 3 ogólnie najlepsze aplikacje, które zostały nagrodzone kolejno kwotą: 150.000$, 50.000$ i 25.000$. Są to:

1. SweetDreams: program, który przed snem zajmie się za Ciebie wyłączaniem/włączaniem Wifi, Bluetooth’a, akceptacją połączeń itp. Wszystko jednak trzeba wcześniej ustawić – ogólnie jest świetna aplikacja dbająca o nasz głęboki sen.
2. What the Doodle!?: internetowa gra znana także z wersji na PC. Jedna osoba rysuje, a pozostałe próbują odgadnąć przedstawioną na szkicu fraze.
3. WaveSecure: aplikacja strzegąca nasz telefon wraz z prywatnymi danymi i innymi informacjami. Za jej pomocą możemy tworzyć zdalnie kopie zapasowe danych z telefonu, skasować je czy odnaleźć telefon na mapie.

Android Developer Challenge 2 nie zabrakło oczywiście polskiego akcentu. W finałowej trzydziestce możemy zobaczyć 5 aplikacji z naszego kraju. Przynajmniej jedną z nich jest gra stworzona przez użytkownika naszego forum – Speed Forge 3D. Zdobyła ona pierwsze miejsce w kategorii „Games: Arcade/Action”, a co za tym idzie do kieszeni naszych kolegów poszło 100.000$. Gratulujemy!
